About
Jake Reynolds is an American artist/producer pushing the boundaries in the evolving genres of music. Growing up in the small town of Midland, MI Jake Reynolds found himself playing guitar at a young age to express his emotions and youthful angst. The love of guitar swiftly combined with an undying passion for songwriting. At the age of 18 he moved to Los Angeles and played in rock bands for three years with little success. Before leaving LA, his band The Otherside, managed to garner the attention of famed producer/engineer Jim Scott (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash), but the musical partnership was never committed to tape.
It was during Jake Reynolds time on Kauai that he began to discover a deeper purpose in life – love and service. In the middle of the Pacific Ocean he realized he needed to integrate a positive, uplifting message of hope, love and peace into all that he created. The first batch of songs on Kauai that would become the foundation of his next band, The High Vibes, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
With the supportive community surrounding his bandmates in Santa Fe, The High Vibes rose to popularity quickly within the music scenes of New Mexico. They played to a sold out venue of over 250 fans on the release of their EP, “The Way It Is” and opened for L.A. band Cherry Glazerr at a local festival a few months later. They went on to win a local Battle of the Bands, tour Southern Colorado, perform three shows in Mexico and open for American four-piece progressive rock-fusion band TAUK at the famed Meow Wolf music venue and large-scale immersive art experience.
Despite the regional success of The High Vibes, Jake Reynolds felt his artistic future lay elsewhere within the music landscape. He began exploring the world of pop and EDM, discovering the endless possibilities with electronic synthesis and ultra-slick, modern production. With the recent popularity of artists such as The Chainsmokers, Trevor Hall & The 1975,
Jake Reynolds is elated to build on the path set by these titans of music.
